Suluban Beach, Uluwatu

Where Vision Becomes Place
Suluban Beach · Uluwatu
Welcome to Orama
The Other Side
of Bali
Set in one of Bali's most iconic surf destinations, ORAMA exists between energy and stillness. Close to the rhythm of Uluwatu's surf culture, cafés, and restaurants, yet tucked away above the coastline, it offers a sense of privacy, open views, and the constant sound of the sea.
With only five rooms, each space is designed as a personal refuge — minimal, tactile, and calm. Filtered light and open-air elements create a seamless connection between inside and out, offering a place to reset after long days in the sun and surf.
The Space
Architecture
as Observation
Located above the iconic waves of Suluban Beach, ORAMA was created as a space for observation — where raw materiality and geometric forms come together. It offers an intimate, design-led hospitality experience shaped by light, shadow, and texture.
Its architecture and atmosphere invite guests to slow down, to look, to feel, to reflect — and to experience the space not just as a stay, but as something deeper. A place that feels both grounded and contemplative, like a modern sanctuary overlooking the ocean.

Clean architectural lines, a king-size bed with soft linens, and a private balcony create a calm, open space filled with fresh air and sea views.
Ocean View Suite
Kyma
“Wave”
Just steps from the ocean, Kyma, meaning “wave,” is designed for those who live close to the surf. Wake to the sound of waves and open the large window to uninterrupted views of Blue Point, one of Bali’s most iconic surf spots. The beach and lineup are right in front of you. Clean architectural lines, a king-size bed with soft linens, and a simple, open space create a calm place to reset between sessions.

Just Below Orama
Surf
Head down to the beach just below ORAMA, where the waves break right at your feet. Just a stone's throw away, you'll find Suluban's famous surf point, known for one of the longest waves in Bali.
As a surf and earth retreat, we collaborate with experienced local surfers who will be happy to guide you and show you how smooth the lip of a wave can be.
Our 3 to 5-day intensive surf programs are designed for both beginners and more experienced surfers. Each stay includes accommodation, daily breakfast, private surf lessons with expert instructors, board rental, a traditional Balinese in-room massage, and private rooftop yoga sessions.

“To me, Orama is an exercise in reduction, an architecture shaped more by what is removed than what is added. It's about restraint, allowing materials like concrete, light, and shadow to exist in their purest form, without distraction. There is something powerful in the way an artwork can hold feeling, how a single piece can carry atmosphere, emotion, and stillness all at once. To reinforce this idea, I carefully selected and placed works by different artists throughout the space. In that sense, the architecture becomes a kind of composition — quiet, intentional, and distilled, where light, texture, and proportion come together to create something that lingers. Maybe that has something in common, but each work has its own story to say.”

What They Say
“I recently stayed at the newly opened boutique hotel Orama in Uluwatu, at Kyma Suite, and it was truly an exceptional experience. The interior design is stunning, with a minimal, nature-inspired and elegant architectural style. One of the highlights was the breathtaking ocean view — falling asleep and waking up to the sound of the waves was an unforgettable and calming experience.”
